Can anyone help me disable IPv6 in the modem, so any device only obtains IPv4. For example in GMAIL logs I only want to see IPv4 from all my devices that access gmail from within my home network. Using 2.6.1.6 Tek FW

Getting an alien script warning when running speed test
I get the following warning when running speed test:
Warnings:
alien script detected chrome-extension://cafckninonjkogajnihihlnnimmkndgf/js/inject.js (what is an alien script?)
I use ScriptSafe and only turn on scripts as little as required. I removed the permission for i.dslr.net to run scripts and the warning went away but I can't run the test that way because i.dslr.net is required to run the test. Allowing i.dslr.net to run scripts makes the warning show back up. I did the blank page test to see if anything else was injecting scripts and nothing showed up there.
Does anyone know why i.dslr.net would be causing this warning to show up?

[DSL] Upgrading speed, free modem?
My dad has DSL 15 Pro (400 GB) with a SmartRG505N. The setup is reaching its limits when grand kids visit and can't play games and stream.
The only option to upgrade and stay with Teksavvy is going to DSL 25 unlimited according to website and portal. It's a big jump from $36 to $50. My dad has a phone line so the free dry loop is not useful.
1) Does the upgrade to DSL 25 come with the free AC modem as advertised, or is that only for brand new customers?
2) If no new modem with upgrade, how to get a new modem?
3) Isn't just cheaper to switch to another DSL provider during their promotion and get free install, free modem, and comparable price?
Looking for some advice.
Thanks.

How (Un)Important Are Existing Teksavvy Customers???
As the original poster of this thread, I thought it is important to also look back a couple of years and see what Teksavvy was doing, and is still trying to do, while ShaTelBelotron were continuing their quest for world domination.
.
The first link is to my original thread (I'm not a registered user, so can't reopen a dormant thread)

.
And, this link is from just about exactly two years ago about Teksavvy's pricing.

So, thank you Marc and all for your continued good service, fair pricing, and efforts on behalf of your customers.

How (Un)Important Are Existing Teksavvy Customers???
How important are current customers to Teksavvy? Not very any longer it seems, which is a very disappointing change of attitude by Teksavvy.
.
Let me start by saying that my Teksavvy service has been nearly flawless for well over a decade now (customer number 61##), aside from one to two hour waits on the phone in the past, the few times I called in.
.
Now the downside. As an existing customer, I called Teksavvy customer service to upgrade my vcable service to 60/10 at the $50/month, 1-year price currently being advertised and offered to new customers, and was refused.
.
As a decade-long customer, my first year 60/10 price would be $63.95/month from day one, while someone walking in off the street today would pay $50/month the first year for exactly the same service.
.
Is this how Teksavvy now values? existing customers, and is pulling new customers in off the streets becoming more important to Teksavvy than maintaining existing customer relationships built up over years (and more than a decade) with current customers?
.
How will these new customers be valued and treated by Teksavvy once they to become existing Teksavvy customers; like today's existing customers are valued?
.
Is this the future for Teksavvy as it grows larger, playing customer shell games and turning into another Bhell or Robbers? I hope not.
.
The loyalty and satisfaction of existing customers is the bedrock on which Teksavvy's past reputation has been built. What will its future reputation be built on?
.
Am I the only existing customer refused and disappointed by Teksavvy when wanting to upgrade my service? Were you able to access this offer or were you, as an existing customer, also refused by Teksavvy?

[DSL] Is MLPPP still a good option?
I've been a longtime Teksavvy customer and intend to stay here. I appreciate the part they play in helping to keep competition in the market. It's always been a cycle of pushing the CRTC to make changes as the incumbents come out with new services that don't trickle down to the IISPs. Nothing has changed, we're just at a point where the waiting is harder again. That being said, I'm happy to wait.
I live in an area with older DSL infrastructure. My line can't sync at 50/10 so I'm stuck with 25/10. I'm wondering if MLPPP is still a useful option for bumping speeds. I'm curious about bonding two 25/10 lines into a 50/20 service. I'd like the bump in both download and upload speeds so I feel like this could be a good option. I've always preferred DSL for the low latency and static IP's.
So what's the community consensus on what I'm looking for? I've never had cable internet and am nervous to make the change. Living without a static IP would be a pain and I'm concerned that local congestion and latency could be an issue. Maybe my concerns in that regard are outdated though. Feel free to educate me.
I manage my own network hardware. If MLPPP was a viable option I'd be configuring on a Mikrotik router. Anyone else done this recently with success?
Thanks!

Is this still offered? I can see it's no longer on the website, but as of June of this year it was still being offered by special request. Low Latency (ping) ADSL vs. Cable!
Hey!
I've been a long time subscriber to 6Mbps ADSL from Teksavvy, however the speed is beginning to feel a bit dated.
What I like about it is the low latency (for games).
I was wondering if I switched to cable, would the latency be as good and consistent?
From York Region, my ping times are:
Google.ca = 6ms
DSLreports.com = 25ms
Amazon.com = 41ms
Maybe someone around this area could ping the same places with cable for comparison?
Would there be a difference in latency between Cable30 and Cable75?
Would the TP-Link TC7650 (1029mbps) be a good choice? Or could I get away with using TC-7610 (343mbps) and not notice a difference except for saving some money?
Thanks!
