I've got no internet since yesterday, my DSL and internet lights are off. I called teksavvy yesterday and they said it was probably outages in Montreal but when I verify my location on the network status map, there is no outage in my region. Anyone has a similar problem? I need internet to work and am getting no support by email.
Thank you

vCable 100/30?
The 120 mbps is gone from Vidéotron and I was wondering if Teksavvy is going to offer this 100/30? Ebox is already offering this package at 64.95$ and no longer offer 60 and 120.
Is there any plan? I'm on the 60/10 at 63.95$...

[Cable] is it possible to have Teksavvy and Rogers in the same house hold?
Just wondering. I am thinking of looking for an alternative to Teksavvy for my Plex server. As my friend at work is making feel a little jealous that he's got Fibe symmetrical 1Gbit for his Plex. lol
I am limited to Rogers. There is no fiber where I live. Major Mackenize and Kennedy (Markham North).
Thanks

[Cable] First day with Teksavvy TV (Toronto) - Well, THAT didn't go well
We installed the Teksavvy TV app on the Nvidia Shield and turned on the Leafs game. The first 10 minutes were smooth and then ... freezes, buffering, black screen, more freezes.... it was unwatchable. So was every other channel in the basic package. Tried for an hour or so and then abandoned hope.
The same Shield box has plenty of streaming apps loaded - Netflix, Prime Video, Crave, MLB.TV, Tubi, Acorn. We checked for comparison, and every one of them streamed perfect HD and 4K tonight, as always.
What a bust.

Anyone in Ottawa seeing TekSavvy evening DSL load problems? See the above graph.
My CarryTel Cable is also showing the same problems on the same evenings. See the second graph, above.
I wonder if the trunk from Ottawa to Toronto is overloaded.

E-mail cannot be sent but I can receive E-mail
I cannot send E-mail from my Android phone Samsung Galaxy S9. This is a recent issue and I think it happens to many other TekSavvy Android customers.
It worked fine until couple days ago. I can receive E-mails but cannot send.
I called support early this afternoon and the technician verified with me the settings to the Outgoing server and they look fine.
Also I was able to login to the web mail and send and receive E-mail. This eliminated the possibility that this could be password related.
I am using the default E-mail application that comes with the Android phone called Email, that worked fine for more than a year. The technician could not do anything and gave up on my telling me to research on my own, and call Samsung.
I did researched with google: In the Settings/Apps I've cleared the cache and removed the data associated with the app, then restarted the phone twice and now I cannot add my @teksavvy.com account because Teksavvy outgoing server refuses to authenticate:
"Server does not support authentication".
Please help.

rCable firmware for CDA3-20
The original approved firmware for the CDA3-20 was 4.5.0.14. Current firmware lists say 6.1.3.31. Does this mean a firmware push happened to upgrade the older units? Possibly still underway?
Interesting that this was noted with respect to Shaw territory, but there doesn't seem to be anything about Rogers at all:

Where can I buy an attenuator for cheap?
My downstream power levels have stayed around 14 and upstream around 32 since switching to TekSavvy's cable (previously on DSL without a single issue for 15+ years).
On cable I've had random disconnects AT LEAST once a month and I think it has to do with my power levels.
Where can I get a decent 8 or 10db attenuator? I checked Amazon and eBay but they cost nearly $30 just for one and I can't seem to find it locally.
Any suggestions?

[Cable] rCable prices after April 26th
Hi,
I've been sitting on the 100/10 tier since 2015 and I'm hankering for a speed increase, but like many others I've been waiting for new tiers to arrive.
I'm tempted to go up to 250/20 but the website says the current price is only valid until April 26th.
How much of a price increase is expected after that? Or should I continue to wait patiently for the new tiers?
Thanks!

[Cable] Atrocious service
I requested a transfer over one week ago from Rogers to Teksavvy effective as of April 18. I have had no cable internet service either yesterday or today. I have called support multiple times, with all agents giving me a run-around of why I still do not have internet service. None of the agents seem truly willing to diagnose the problem, or look further into the matter.
Today I spoke with an agent Praveen who stated that he would rectify the situation and call me by the end of the day. Well, contrary to Teksavvy's claims of excellent customer service, I have been disappointed yet again, with neither a solution nor a follow-up phone call. Essentially, I am paying for non-existent service. This experience has left with me an extremely poor first impression of your company, your internet service and your customer service resolution skills. I am seriously considering cancelling and reverting to Rogers.

SR515ac Port Forwarding Issue
Hey folks,
Trying to open ports 10666-10700 on my SR515ac so I can host a DOOM server.
No matter how hard a try, the ports will simply not open.
I have gone to http://192.168.1.1, logged in , Advanced > NAT > Port Triggering, added the ports as required.
Portchecker tells me that theya re still closed despite restarting the router after applying settings, retrying the port trigger, etc etc.
Any suggestions?
Am I missing a step here?

Possible to use a TC4400 with Techsavvy? If so where to buy one?
Hey all, in BC and planning on switching from Shaw to Techsavvy (moving houses). They were/are only offering Puma 6 series modems and I'm concerned about packet delay so am looking at the TC4400. However its not super clear to me how easy it is to provision one to Techsavvy, or where to even buy one.
Suggestions?

IPv6 Prefix Delegation
I have been trying to sort this out for about 6 months now, I want to have all of my computers on IPv6. I can plug computers directly into the modem and get addresses, but these are /128 addresses and I am limited to 3. The solution I am told is prefix delegation.
From https://help.teksavvy.com/hc/en-us/articles/205837513-IPv6 I expect to get a /64 as I am on a rogers line. My router is a DDWRT v3.0-r37305 . If I enter DHCPv6 with prefix Delegation, my router is able to obtain a /64 as I would expect, and it can dole out addresses to clients under it. However no traffic ever comes my way from the modem to this block.
My current setup as is relevant has a modem going into a bridged switch(NIC ID#s 4 & 5) on my PC to watch the traffic, back out to the WAN side of the router, then down the LAN side of the router back into the PC on NIC ID#3.
-The bridged switch has IPv6 only enabled to prove that I can get IPv6 Traffic. This is my /128.
-The router has my NAT'ed ipv4 address as normal, and is obtaining the /64 block.
-The NIC #3 on my computer is getting a NAT'ed IPv4 and is getting an address in my expected /64.
I have Wireshark running on NICs 4 and 5(Both sides of the bridge).
When I ping from an external site I expect:
-ICMP echos on NIC 5 ONLY for the /128 address. This works
-ICMP echos on NIC 4 AND 5 for the IPv4 address. This works
-ICMP echos on NIC 4 AND 5 for an address in the /64 block. I get nothing on either

Experience in Dropping Paid Bell Phone To Have Dry Loop?
I have Tesksavvy 25/10 and service is great. I also have Bell home phone, e.g. the original legacy analog actual phone. Service on that is iffy at best, noisy especially after rain. I rarely use home phone anyway so I am curious of the steps to convert to Dry Loop. I would rather pay $5 a month just for Bell DSL than $36 to have a phone which I have to call Bell for twice a year when it gets noisy. They have moved the lines more times than I can count. The last issue was water in a "hot dog".
TS says $25 and 7-10 days and I have to cancel Bell service. I am confused as to when I cancel while not losing DSL during some period. TS says tell Bell cancel on X date, give them notice as to that and they process a conversion with enough notice, which is fine. This all sounds quite credible.
I'd like to know from someone who has actually done it, how it went.

No internet more frequently on Ccable
Lately I have had no connectivity and have had to hard reset the modem. It seems to be more frequent and is getting very annoying.
Can Teksavvy do anything to look into this from their end as there is NO computer in the house and hardwiring to the modem will not happen.
I know I should call but last time there was a problem I spent alot of time on the phone only to be told there is nothing they can do unless I plug something directly into the modem.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Gord
