[Cable] rCable, Internet periodically going out

Every couple days my internet will just go out and I then need to go into my router and do a DHCP Renew and eventually it renews and goes back to normal. It's been happening for the last couple weeks. Today it went out and wouldn't come back until I did a hard reset on the modem. Can anyone help?
