ExpUser/Staff Help - Questions about switching to TekSavvy

Hi all, I've ditched Shaw and gave them 30-day service to terminate my service because of the sad traffic cap. I've decided to join the TekSavvy family :). However, I have a few questions and hope either TekSavvy staff or experienced user can help me out. 1) TekSavvy DSL or Cable? I live in Burnaby, BC and am qualified for TekSavvy 25MBPS DSL (that means I'd be using Telus's FTTN, which is good right?). I am also qualified for TekSavvy cable as well. Can experienced user or staff help me choose which one I should use base on past experience/problem with either technology in this area? I'm looking for steady speed that doesn't get affected during heavy usage hour is definitely the important. Lower price is also a plus. It seems like I should get DSL, but the cable connection that I'm currently using is pretty good and TekSavvy cable is cheaper than its DSL. From what I've been reading, it seems I'd still be using Shaw's cable infrastructure even when I'm with TekSavvy so the experience should still be the same, yes? Is TekSavvy cable or DSL steady in my area? 2) Installation process What is involved in the installation process? For either TekSavvy DSL or Cable, does technician needs to come in my place? How much of internet downtime should I expect after my Shaw service end? (assuming that is also the TekSavvy service start date) 3) Static IP with TekSavvy I know I can get static IP with TekSavvy DSL, can I also get it with TekSavvy Cable? Thanks so much for helping out here! Eric
