Hello, I'm currently on 6/0.8 Legacy GAS and have been on a 3/0.8 profile for several years now. I am wanting to switch to 15/1 FTTN ADSL2 and I am looking for some advice. (I guess I am connected to the CO. and not to a remote.)
I have talked to Teksavvy through the direct forum and they say I qualify for it, as well as 25/10 VDSL2. (Bell says I qualify for 50/10).
The cabinet is 400 metres away by road and 230 metres away in a straight line.
I have a forty year old house with an internal demarc and a POTS splitter. (installed by Bell)
I am wondering what is the likely hood I can actually get a stable sync of 15/1 when I have only been getting 3/0.8 all this time?

A few things I should mention before you ask:
I am not interested in the VDSL2 packages as the modem is awful and I'm not willing to drop $130 for a hope and a prayer that a firmware update will fix the bridging mode. Also considering my current sync, I would be wary to spend so much only to end up with a modem and a 3/0.8 sync again. (Or similar)
I am not interested in Cable as the St. Laurent POI hasn't impressed from friends that are on it. Perhaps a few months after the move to aggregated I will consider it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have had some terrible experiences with Teksavvy's support over the years and would like a little reassurance and or advice. (Please don't take that as a slight, I am still with them after all)
Thanks.
