So I decided to upgrade my DSL 6 to a higher DSL, little did I know how ungraceful and screwy the whole process would be.
A technician was required to come to my home--no problem there, except for the fact that he never even showed up for the scheduled day, and I lost a day's worth of wages!
Not only is it difficult to take off an entire day off work, because the range of time to expect the technician to come is so ridiculously broad (between 12pm to 9pm)--so you're basically stuck at home and can't leave anywhere for fear of missing the technician--but the situation is tremendously exacerbated when the technician doesn't even show up at all!! WTH??
Calling Teksavvy doesn't help at all, because apparently they have no way of being in touch with the technician. Wow... talk about dark-age inefficiency. The only solution is to re-schedule for another time... right, so the technician can pull another no-show, and I lose another day of work.
What utter B.S. I am so fuming right now, it's actually almost enough to make me want to change ISPs.
