[Cable] Cable not working - 2 modems later - Need suggestions

Hi everyone, I recently got Teksavvy cable installed (2 weeks ago) and for the first two days, the modem wouldn't connect. Finally did connect for a day and a half, then has been down the rest of the time. I've had a tech come out, look at it for fifteen minutes and since it was up at that time, the tech just cleaned the connections where Rogers comes to near the house. Next day, stopped working again. Got a new modem, because I figure it might be the modem, installed it, worked for 6 hours then went down again. I did some finagling, went right to the wall jack and took out the coax wall plate and plugged directly into the modem and it worked. For last night. Now it's down again as of this morning and I can only deduce it's a problem with either A) The lines in my house being messed up or B) The lines coming from Rogers being messed up I have a tech coming again either Saturday, Monday or Tuesday. Any assistance that someone might be able to give so I can ensure this works after the tech leaves would be amazing. Anyone else faced this situation before when Teksavvy was installed? Thanks!
