I've been waiting a while to upgrade my 6Mbps profile until the upload speeds were increased for us Telus guys out West and it looks like it might be sorted out. I've read a few discussions on modems used out west but not sure which one to get.
I'm looking for the best modem to use that will:
- Work for 25Mbps and faster tiers for Vancouver area DSL
- Bridgeable
- Something without wireless and extra ports but ok as long as the functions can be disabled
I've been using the Thompson ST516 for a number of years now with no issue. This was the perfect modem as it was easily bridgeable and worked flawlessly with the Cisco firewall. Hopefully there is something similar for VDSL modems.
