Was hoping I could get some clarification on Teksavvy Home phone service.
My old school parents insist on a landline, which they are presently getting from ma Bell. They get their cable internet from Teksavvy. Was hoping to switch from Bell to Teksavvy, but was told by customer service that there is no availability in their area (Etobicoke) as it is already maxed out.
Can someone please explain the specifics of this?
More importantly - Can anything be done?
Was told all I could do is keep checking back for availability, and to contact CRTC to complain. I plan on doing that, but would like to know the specifics.
I'll work towards convincing them to go VOIP, but I expect they will stick to their guns of wanting a functioning phone during power failures.
