Hi everyone,
A few weeks ago i post about having my router fried for no apparent reason an Ausus Rt-N16 so i send it back and they return me a new one so i plug everything back and then again that loud ham radio signal wake me up in bed coming in my computer sound speaker, so i get up and look at the Rt N16 and everything was dead, no light nothing with a slight burnt circuitry inside.
I plug it again in another room and like last time no light dead, so twice in a row in 1 month in a half the same problem occur, then i bought the cheapest dlink router i can find as a temporary replacement and backup and this one didn't die from the RF signal so far.
I thought i was crazy but no i found a ham radio amateur on youtube showing exactly that once he fired up his AM radio the RT-N16 died instantly here the link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7W_qj9PnZw
So as you can see the RT N-16 has a very clear defect and it seem like a bad shielding against ham radio signal.
Hope to save some of you the hassle of dealing with Asus to fix this.
Merry Christmas to all, Hans
