Hi
I am planning on moving from Bell to Teksavvy. I currently have Bell 15/10, access from basement and kitchen outlet. These are split for voice and data. I had Bell add the kitchen outlet thinking that would solve my intermittent problem accessing my computer on the first, thinking that it was a wireless problem. It didn't. I think it's a Sagecom modem problem.
Anyway I want to put the Teksavvy DSL on the kitchen outlet on a dry loop, while still using Bell home phone on the voice split. I also want to continue using Bell DSL in the basement during a short overlap to maintain continuity and prove-in the Teksavvy line.
I am being told that this would work.
Teksavvy said to use the rgSmart modem. They have either taken out the info on their website (or I cannot find) equivalent modem that can be used for 15 and 25 Mbps. I cannot find any place that sells the rgSmart modem, so is my only choice to get it from Teksavvy. Are there any other modems I can use? I want to use in bridge mode with Linksys router
I am in Barrhaven (Ottawa) area - hope that the TEksavvy service in this area is reliable Thanks
