Ok I signed up for TekTalk service on November 1. I did this on-line and the earliest date I could get Bell to port my phone number was November 15.
At the end of the 15th my DSL went out.
I called Saturday morning at 5:30 am and spoke to a Teksavvy rep and he told me the earliest I can get a dry loop is Monday. I asked why this wasn't figured out two weeks ago and he apologized and say someone should have told you. So I was ok with waiting only two days.
Just half an hour a go I get a call to say that the earliest confirmed date was November 26th. Well I freaked out. That is over a week away without phone service. She look at the system and the earliest tenetative date was Friday November 22. I had to take this date. Which I'm not sure this is confirmed.
Teksavvy really dropped the ball on this. When I signed up I stated this was a DSL line. If a dry loop was need why this was not coordinated with the port? The phone number is not even mine, its my dad's. He will be without phone for a week. I was the one who pushed him over to tektalk and now I'm to blame.
Isn't there anything can be done to make it earlier????
