3 or 4 years ago I made our pots number as cheap as possible by
getting rid of the long-distance. We do not have caller-id or any
other of their amazingly overpriced options. That brought the
monthly price down to $22 or so after taxes.
It has been creeping up ever since, and is now about $35.
What I do not understand is why they would charge this much when
voip services, including Teksavvy's, offer the same thing (actually
more, since tektalk basic has caller-id, and long-distance on a pay-as-you-go basis)
for half that price.
I know a lot of people, like us, are slow to change, but even we
will eventually realize how overpriced Bell's phone service is.
What does Bell gain from acting like this?
