[DSL] Sagemcom sync-no-surf fix/workaround

I've finally run into the sync-no-surf issue on my Sagemcom 2864 since putting it into bridge mode. I was unable to browse the web but I could still ping addresses, as is generally the case with the sync-no-surf issue. So I decided to experiment a bit, it tuns out the largest packet size the modem will pass when this happens is 1434 bytes. Anything larger will fail to send, everything smaller works normally. I've found that if you have the Sagemcom in bridge mode and you set the MTU on your router to 1434 you can still use the internet while the modem is in this state, no reboot required. I've run multiple speed tests since changing the setting and it has no apparent effect on the connection's throughput either. I get the same 50/8 performance I had with the higher MTU regardless of the state of the modem. Just to be sure I've switched my router's MTU back to 1500 and 1492 (and 1435) and it will not let me browse, but as long as it is set to 1434 the connection works perfectly. For anyone still running into the sync-no-surf problem, I recommend you try this to see if it resolves the issue for you before you try changing your DSL profile. EDIT - It seems the max packet size the modem will send when sync-no-surf triggers can vary wildly. I'd still recommend you give this a shot as it seems to have resolved the issue for me, but there's no guarantee it will help.
