Started service - no internet

So I started my service on July 1 and had a new modem provisioned about a week before my start day - no service as of today. Thankfully my Rogers service is still running. Apparently Rogers never responded to the provisioning of the new modem - I was never informed of this by Teksavvy that they were having issues with Rogers - why is it that Teksavvy does not contact customers when they escalate tickets? As customers we need to know this information so we can also take action with Rogers as needed - for myself I plan to contact the Rogers ombudsman and file a complaint with them for their screw up and also to ensure I'm not billed by them because of their screw up in not responding to Teksavvy's new modem request within the 48 hr time frame.
